Summary: The Polypill concept, known for 10 years, has found no practical response despite great publication impact. This is also true for India, where authorization licence has existed since 2009. The variations of the concept will be shown first: combination pill in secondary prevention, high-risk primary prevention, original Wald-concept with age-related indication. Especially, the situation in India is presented. The possible reasons of failure are set forth and a forecast of the future developments is given.
