SummaryDue to the corona pandemic, all attendance training courses had to be canceled, including the “week of practical medicine” on Langeoog. However, some of the speakers wanted to go to the island (of Langeoog) as soon as possible. With partly strong winds, fortunately without rain, training meetings took place daily in the morning and in the afternoon in a beach chair round – at necessary distance from each other. Thematically, of course, it was about personal experiences with the corona pandemic, about inflammatory bowel diseases, diabetes, medical biases, post-traumatic stress disorder and insect bites. Born out of necessity, a completely interactive training method without any lecture slides had to be chosen. The participants rated this positively as a special and intense experience. This example shows that high-quality family medicine training can be held even under adverse conditions.Keywordscorona pandemic; quality circle; family physician training; training methodology; north sea island
