Summary: This paper reviews the main topics of screening and shows that screening is a different issue compared to diagnosing. Especially biostatistical and ethical problems are exposed using the findings in several studies on screening. Consequences for health care are pointed out. This is the second of two parts; the first part has been published in issue 1/2010.
