Report of an Interprofessionel Workshop

Summary: In face of an imminent lack of family practitioners (FPs) in Germany there is a discussion about job delegation to non-physician practice employees. Warning voices underline the risk of loosing family practitioners’ professional identity and significance of family medicine in Germany. In the context of family medicine seminars in north western Germany we conducted an interprofessional workshop of FPs and health care assistants. Themes, procedures and limitations of delegability of doctors’ tasks were discussed and. clinical pathways developed.
